Celebrating our 125th Anniversary

 

On Saturday and Sunday September 8th and 9th 2007, Woodlane Community Church in Newark had the opportunity to share and celebrate God’s faithfulness at our 125th Anniversary Celebration.

 

Former Pastor, Rev. Dr. Ken Reynen and his wife Nancy from Corona, CA traveled to Newark to join in this celebration.  Cyndi Dietz Levin from Indianapolis, IN, a former pastor’s wife, also attended.

 

Nancy Reynen spoke at the woman’s breakfast Saturday morning and a reception with a dessert buffet and time of fellowship was held Saturday evening.  Area clergy and members of the Rochester Classis were invited. 

 

Rev. Dr. Ken Reynen led the worship service Sunday with a message of “Joy for the Journey.”  Pastor Ken and Nancy’s duo of organ and piano was a joy to all who attended. Following the service, a delicious potluck meal was held in the Fellowship Hall. 

 

Moments of laughter, tears, memories, and most importantly, blessings, took place for

those who participated in this very special weekend.
